    1960 Clone finally done(ish) (warning - large pic)

    This guitar has gone through MANY changes in the last few years but I think its finally done...

    specs are:

    Fender USA Honey Blonde alder body (nitro)
    Warmoth "Total Vintage" birdseye maple and brazilian rosewood neck with 7.25" radius and 21 SS6230 vintage stainless frets (satin poly back, gloss poly headstock face)
    Fender Original '57 / '62 pickups
    Fender USA '62 Reissue vintage trem (3 springs)
    Fender (Gotoh) vintage tuners
    Graph Tech TUSQ nut
    Neck plate serial number 2007R1V
    D'Addario EXL110

    I like that. Did you use a Highway one body? I have one just that colour and am also building a 1960 clone.

    pretty guitar.


    Doesn't have the right style guard for a 60. Not green and screw positions aren't right.

    That's a very cool guitar! I'm not a fan of birdseye particularly but that looks great on the headstock.

    thanks. yeah - I don't like birdseye when its overdone - this was a REAL light birdseye - more of a slight figured look. I really just wanted this neck for the beautiful slab brazillian board.

    I actually have a fender reissue guard that is "correct" on the way. I may stick with the white though - sometimes the new fender mint is too minty.

    hry guys!
    i have 15 american and japan lefty strats, and just pickedup a MIM lefty strat. the neck has been "americanized", and looks and feels and plays like a US. the body is poplar, and i want to get a better body, in "shell pink".
    any suggestions?
