    I went by a used pa dj rental type store

    dude has a couple of new Carvin 400w 3 way speaks he wants 400 each

    i need some monitor wedges 150w rating he has a pair of used (no name I could see) wedges for 150 each and he said he will throw in a couple of 125w hot spots for a 100 he will gve me 2 NEW 75ft cables for the mains and used cords for the rest all for 1200 tax included deal or no deal??

    Run away, fast. That's no deal on a used set of speakers. 75ft cables are negligible in cost.

    If the Carvins are new with warranty, maybe...but I'll bet you could get a set of JBL's for less. As for the wedges, you could do at least 100-150 better for a pair, and the hot spots, well, you get what you pay for.

    If he'll deal down to around a grand, I'd say that was a good deal.

    the carvins are new with warr

    looked em up online the sell for 370 range each plus 29.00 shipping

    seems to come out near his 400. each price I will try and talk him down on the wedges see if he will deal thanks

    Ya know, those Carvin three way speakers sound really great compared to the same ol' 1X15 cab with crappy horns that are so popular these days. They actually have some midrange. Great for vocals and acoustic instruments.

    400 is no bargain, but convenience is worth something. Have 'em throw in some stands and cables, then you've got a good price.

    well picked it up today dude threw in some crappy mic stands one broke as soon as I tried to make it tight at home

    overall mains sound good (come to find out the wedges are carvin too)

    they all look the same bbq grill

    gig comin tues I will see how they work

    also bought some speaker stands to put these bad boys at ear level
