the NYT rises from the ashes like a phoenix.

maybe not that dramatic, but she's back! put it all back together the other day with some changes.

    1. neck off my blue strat
    2. reed james engineering pups. 9.5k bronze baseplate lead pup, and a rewound duncan 5.8k
    3. old school 3 saddle bridge
    4. brown shell 69 thinline warmoth guard

here is what the NYT used to look like:

    and now:

that's about it. digging the sound, hairy lead pup, sweet neck pup, really liking the combo posish. don't know if it's a keeper yet, but i'm liking it so far.

What kind of strap buttons are those and where could I get some?

i believe they are off of an older (mid 80's or so) ibanez. several years ago i was given some old parts and was told they were from an ibanez... the bay might have them, but i don't know. they are cool as hell though.

Love the way that guard looks on it especially.

(Even though I loved the Sinfonian guard, of course. )

i liked to other guard too, but i think this is a better route to go with this guitar. sounds WAY better than it used to. now all i need to do is patch down there near the knobs...
