    friday vs. saturday night...

never ceases to amaze me- no matter how much we rehearse, no matter how big the crowd, saturday night always seems to go better than friday night. i swear, i will not touch anything on my rig, yet my tone is (to my perception, anyways) better the next night. this ever happen to y'all?

Yeah, I can relate to that. I think it's because in my case, the band has daytime jobs and a Friday night gig is a case of getting home after work, rushing down some food then grabbing the gear and straight out to a gig. You are not as relaxed as perhaps the Saturday when your day has not been so stressful and you have a bit more time to prepare for the evening gig. Especially if the gig is in the same venue then you dont have to trasport the gear. Same goes for the audience. They tend to be more relaxed on the saturday and easier to please, makes for a better atmosphere.
