"Fender Telecaster Standard Humbucker"?
Hi!
I'm just looking for a little more information on this model before I go ahead and splurge.. I'm normally a Gibson girl, this will be my first Fender.
http://www.jacksonsrareguitars.com/F...d-p-17937.html
The serial is apparently 26026109 but I cant seem to match that to anything, and the guitar dater project tells me it's an invalid serial.
Now, I've heard that Teles with humbuckers are called Telecaster Customs, this guy has it listed as a standard humbucker.. I've been through all the telecaster pages @ fender.com and I can't find anything in the current catalogue that looks anything like it.. so I'm guessing its an older model..
Can you tell me anything about it? Where it might have been made? what it would have retailed for in the US? a bigger picture even? Would you recommend the purchase?
Thanks in advance for anything you can tell me :)

It's just an American made Standard Telecaster with two humbuckers.

Haven't tried this model, but if you are looking for humbuckers in a Fender, this is a good place to start.
The serial number should have a letter to start with. You may want to email them about that.

Frank, from what I have played, those Vintage Modified Squiers are great guitars. I like the s-s-s white Strat myself.

If I were going to buy my first fender, I'd buy one that had mainly fender features.
That guitar is not really a "tele" being that the bridge is a greneric Fender Hardtail, and the pickups aren't going to sound very "Fender" at all.
If you want a tele, find one with a bridge that looks like the pics that Frank posted.
