Using the ext. speaker Jack on an HRD

I recently swapped the stock speaker in my Hot Rod Deluxe for a Celestion Vintage 30 (I loved them in my Marshall). I put the original Eminence speaker into the cab that the Celestion came out of and have been running it from the external speaker jack on the amp. To my ears the two speakers sound great together, I get the nice warm tone from the Celestion and crispier sounds from the stock speaker all at once. However, because I'm not so tech savvy, I was wondering if someone could tell me if this could be damaging to my amp over time as compared to using the amp without the addition of the external speaker.
    Thanks

Same discussion going on over here

As you will read, I would have thought that if the amp was designed with an extention jack that it shouldn't be a problem. Now I'm not so sure.

Edited to add: I just looked at the Hot Rod Deluxe manual and it seems that this amp has made the necessary adjustments for different load configurations. I'm surprised that the re-issues didn't take that into account.
