    2002 American Standard Neck Adjusments

    Hi Gang,

I have a 2002 American Standard Tele from the Corona Shop. It has a Maple Neck with a Rose Wood Board. I was wondering if anyone can tell me about seting up the Neck. It has the Standard truss nut adjusment on the headstock but it also has a hole in the cover where the neck plate cover. Does the hole in the neck plate allow access to some adjusment shim and if so what exactly is this adjusment for? Any help would be great.

    Thanks OG

It's called the "Micro Tilt". It adjusts the tilt of the neck. It replaces having to use shims.

Yeah thats what I thought. Do I have to pull the strings and loosen up the Neck bolts to adjust?

    Thanks OG

Yeah, loosen the neck screws a little. When you tighten the neck back down make sure the torque on the screws are pretty ballanced from side to side.
