    "Stealth" Esquire

    The motivation for this is somewhat obscure. It seems to me either you want an Esquire, or you want a Tele:

    Those two hidden pickups must be strong. I tried that with regular pickups and was disappointed.

    Damn you, I came here to post exactly this.

    There was a Custom Esquire '95 on eBay a while ago. They worked with the same system, except there were holes drilled in the pickguard for the polepieces to poke through.
    i bet this really annoy's you if your a grammar freak.

    butnut built a tele with the neck pup holes drilled in the guard like stated above.
