I had never seen one of those before. I honestly would've guessed it was an Ibanez.
Probably the only one left that will admit it!

"Heartfield Folks"??!!?? (We're all "FENDER FOLKS" here pal)
Seriously......cut the crap!!! This is STILL a GENUINE FENDER GUITAR!!! Made in Japan....like many other Fenders, which many of you own!! No biases!!!
Yeah....it's pointy...and hearkens back to a day of mullets, (which many of you had!) Aqua-Net , and spandex.......so what!! It's still rocks hard and has tone for days!!
Jealous........nyeah....nyeah.....!!!!
Gonna pick up my axe and fight like a farmer!!
I never had a chance to play one, but those single pickup RR models with built in fuzz sounded pretty cool.

Oh, and I didn't mean to "blow you off" in my first note. It's just that I haven't encountered too much Heartfield action here. It's a pretty specialized subset of products with the Fender name.

BTW - Geniune Fenders ARE NOT made in Japan. Fender of Japan is not Fender.

OA, anything that carries the Fender® trademark is genuine Fender, according the the FTC, no matter how you, I, or anybody else feels about it.
Unless it's a counterfeit Heartfield.

Me thinks MANY of us here would tend to disagree with you on THAT one!! Have you ever played a Japanese Strat? I'd dare to say that the Americans had better be looking over their shoulders....these are some quality built instruments!!
Granted...there is a certain mythical "MOJO" that comes out of a Californian made Strat.......but it may be just that.....MYTHICAL.
