Should I play it a while first?

I mentioned in another thread that I bought a different neck for my Strat., and it has just a little more relief than I care for (I like 'em fairly straight). Since I put the new neck on, I've had to make a few adjustments to the guitar in general, but it seems to be settling in OK. Since this neck came from another state (Boston area - to Ohio), and it appears to be unused, should I wait and play it a few days before I make the TR adjustment, or should I adjust it now? Thanks!

No, let it settle - to your climate and to the assemblage in general.

I'd crank it. You might migrate a little from there after a couple of days but there's no reason to play a guitar out of adjustment. The sooner you start dailing it in, the sooner it will stabilize. Often, at least half the time, I set them once and they stay put just fine. Especially if it's a biflex. They usually stay put from the get go.

    Adjust it.

If you need to adjust it in another day or two, then adjust it again.

It ain't that big of a deal.

After adjusting always check it once or twice 24 to 48 hours after.
    Should stableize nicely.
