Offer him a grand, and see if he bites.

No, but I'd still take it for a G.

And if I had a guitar like that, I'd gladly sell it to you for a G.

    But, sorry, I don't.

If it didn't have a huge tenon, that neck would fall right off. Talk about deep cutaways.

    Its kind of funny...

Some people will spend an extra grand for a new guitar that is beat up to look old, and others wouldn't spend a grand for the real thing.
    NTTAWWT.

That guitar looks like its got some mojo.
    I love the juniors too.

Man, never mind the Gibson, what about that vintage mid-90s Peavey Raptor in front of it!
It's hard to tell from those pics but I think it might be a '96-'97 transitional model. I'll bet that's got oodles of "That Great Peavey Sound"!
Man, that through a Rage 108... heaven!

Nothing sounds better than vintage Peavey. All the RI stuff is complete crap, of course.

What a lot of unsophisticated guitar players just don't understand is that an abused and beat-up student model guitar from 50 years ago just has to be a much better guitar than, say, a new professional level production model.

I mean, every single guitar made before 1970 was a great guitar, right? You don't even have to play them to know what they're worth... you can just see by the way that previous owners have lavished loving care on them that they must sing like angels...

No, but a nice chunk of wood, with a good pickup, nicely aged, can be heaven.

Heck, even a decent piece of masonite or two with a good pickup can sound good.

But, no, I'm not going to mortgage my house for old wood, when I can buy something equally groovy, and keep said house.
