Hey, that's not a bad band name either.

    I loved that band.

We've already added in "My Sharona" and "Best Friend's Girl;" they just weren't ready to put in the set list for that night.

    Beat Farmers! BWAHAHAHA!

Ain't it great when life is goin' yer way? Hey, hey!"

Nothing like a kazoo-enhanced song about a dead pet!

My band "The Nards" do several Beat Farmers songs.

Bigger Stones, Lost Weekend, Blue CHevrolet.

Next week (May 30th) I'll be doing a show with another band opening for Joey Harris's band "The Joey Show"

I have a suggestion for a groovy 80's song: Kim Mitchell's "Go For A Soda."

You have to get the Strat riff just right, and the roaring harmony vocals present a challenge, but other than that, it's just straight rockin' and a complete hoot. One of my favorite records of all time.... I'll bet ya'll could pull it off.

I think it'd be fun to do a post-new-wave cover band, doing one set as the Smiths, one as the Cure, and one as Prefab Sprout. You could have a costume change between each one.

"Oh Mother, I can feel...the soil falling over my head..."

"I'm gonna find myself a girl
that can show me what laughter means
And we'll fill in the missing colors
    In each other's paint-by-number dreams..."

    Please excuse the small hijack...

    Fezzter,
After Buddy died I wrote a song about it in a style I though he might have. I recorded it and it's on myspace.com/thenardsrock

Not a fave of mine, but, MAN, that one really puts me in a specific time and place.
I'm 16 and washing dishes. The cooks are tossing burnt toast and lemon nubs over the wall at me

And that song or "Der Commissar," is on the greasy radio.
