where to find red bobbin pickups ???

any one ever find the "red bobbin" pickups listed on the internet? How about the fullerton pickups? are they any different than the
57/62 pickups you can buy now from most dealers? I took mine out a long time ago because 1. I didn't really like them & 2. the bridge pickup quit. but sometime in the future having the "originals" will be favorable. know of someone or dealer ?

Those red bottom pickups were only used on the earilest 57/62ri's in 1982.

Fender made them one way from 82-98 then redesigned the pickups in 98 changed the magnets beveled the polepjieces changed the wire everything.

The way to tell the older ones is they dont have beveled polepieces.

I think those red bobbin ones are actually grey bobbins from the 60's and they painted them red.

There were rumors going around that the 1st batch of the Vintage reissues were made from some old 60's Fender parts.

They are ok but nothing spectacular imho. I prefer the last 57/62 ones.
