    $450 = good deal for Classic 50s strat (maple/SB)??

I ran across a maple/SB 50s classic strat in a local shop for about $450. Condition is like new, very clean and all electronics working.

I search ebay, but there's only very few completed sell samples. So like to get you guys opinions =)

Sounds like a great deal to me, if the guitar feels right and sounds good to you. If it doesn't feel right and/or sound good to you, then it's way overpriced.

Precisely. $450 is a steal for a whole Stratocaster you totally love, and too much for one you don't.

They were about $499 new in 1997.

1998 was the 1st year serials on those start with MN8.

$400-450 is a fair price no matter what year they are great guitars.
