    shaved strat backplate?

    anyone have a pic, or have done, a shaved backplate....know what i mean...a cover flush w/ the back...like a LP?

    So you mean a shallow route around the edge of the back compartment? Sounds nice, but I've not seen one.

    On a lot of Strats the hooks on the bridge end of the tremolo springs are too close to the rear cover plate to allow it to be mounted so that it's flush with the back of the guitar.
    I've seen the springs occasionally contact the rear cover in it's stock position.

    ohhhhhh.....ok.
    maybe thats why i never saw it

    i guess i could file off a 1/4" if the trem block, huh?

    especially since i like to lock it down anyway, ...hmmmm....

    d'mule, yea like an LP...flush.
    i'm considering an EJ strat, and it looks like theres no rear screw holes, so i figgered......ya know, what the hay!
