I'm sure your parents bought you a Twin to go with that Mustang, too.

Check out mom's gams.
I'd need a book to operate the JM on the cover.

I did, man I totally forgot about that book.
Now you've got me wondering if I've got it stashed up in the attic somewhere.
Cool.....
I learned out of this book
and this book
Somebody scratched out the correct fingering for a G chord (M, R, P) and entered (I, M, R).
To this day, I still play the chord wrong, and have to do major contortions to change to either a 7, or to add the sus4.

This 'un is still a favorite of mine:
I've never made it all the way through but I have learned a bunch of cool chords from it.
I want to get book #2.
Ah yes, Mickey Baker... you're right - there are some great chords (and theory) in that book. I still have it somewhere upstairs at home. Of course, I got sidetracked (spelled "stuck" ) on minor blues pentatonic runs and jamming with my Skynyrd, Molly Hatchet and Allman Brothers LPs so I never finished the book either!

I have that book, too!! Lot's of chord substitution lessons. My book still has the $2.95 price tag from when I bought it in 1977 or '78.Ah yes, Mickey Baker... you're right - there are some great chords (and theory) in that book. I still occasionally teach out of Mel Bay Book 1....
