Hi. Welcome to TFF. Why don't you come in and make yourself homely?
I have a hokey philosophical answer to your question - it's worth whatever you can get somebody to pay for it. Given the hysteria for "vintage" instruments, its value as a collectible will continue to rise probably without stopping.
Its value as an instrument is up to the player. Is this bass already yours or one you're angling to purchase?
I cannot really answer your question with a dollar amount (sorry) but I'd sure like to see some pictures of that bass. Come on and share!
s'all goof.
Blue Books and Vintage Guitar price guides say about $2500.

If aliens listened to our current top 40, they'd think that the entire planet was populated by sexually ambivalent robots with ethnic insecurity.
Hey thanks guys
I'm a newbie on the list (obviously) but a lover and user of a 76 Pbass. Just looking to buy another one and saw this 69 on eBAY. Totally mint and un used. Its at 3350. Just thought that was a pretty good price compared to everything else I see there. I'll definitely look at any Fender Forum members basses if they are interetsted in letting something go. 60s-70s Pbass.
Anyway
Cheers all and nice to meet you
Steve
I don't know if that's a good price right now. But I have no doubt that if you approached this as an investment that someday it will certainly be worth that and more.
Nobody is making P-basses in 1969 anymore...
s'all goof.
very true and what a great year!
cheers
