    impedance Question??????

Hi , I just bought a Fender Bassman 300pro-the ALL tube amp!!! & she's a total babe- meaning it's great!!!!
It's got a switchable impedance selector on the back panel(8-4-2 ohm) I was just wondering what a 4 ohm cab + an 8 ohm cab will do/ add up to????? If I can use this combination????

    8+4=2.67

Set the amp to 2 ohm.

    Re: impedance Question??????

Thanx for the reply Davey! So setting the amp to 2 ohm would be OK for this set up????? U don't reckon any harm to the amp?
    I know not!

In this instance you want to go to the next lowest setting. Don't run a load less than the minimum of 2 ohms.

Much like crossing the streams, that would be bad.
