    My kit has shipped!

Why oh why do Fedex let you track these things?!
My 5F6A kit, a Sig 12B speaker and various other bits and bobs shipped last night from Weber VST.
I'm getting really excited now! It's going to be like a second christmas!
    5 days to go...

congratulations Tommy, I built one of these with the 4x10 signature speakers and it sound awesome. Are you going with 1x12? What are you going to do about the impedance mismatch with the OT?

Nah, the Sig 12B is for my Hot-Rod. My plan is to put that in it and build an attenuator so I can switch between a Bassman for my cleans and overdriven tones and the HRDlx for my proper distortions. It might also make the HRDLx more usable for smaller gigs where the Bassman is too much amp/too big to transport.
I'm also going to build an enclosure for the stock eminence.

The Bassman is a powerful amp. There's not a lot of places you can open them up these days.
    Several guitars in different colors
    Things to make them fuzzy
    Things to make them louder
    orange picks

I know, hence the speaker swap for the HRDlx. Saying that, my main band are rock in the way that Led Zeppelin were rock and we were certainly able to, ahem, open up the amps the other night!

To be honest, I love warm Tweed cleans. Hence the Bassman rather than a lower-powered tweed like a 5E3. I'd like to be able to get these at gigging volume.

Oh, and the A/B switching will probably only ever be used in my bedroom!
