From what I could find out about this is that it's a Blues Junior chassis with both 10" and 12" speakers. Is that true?
These guys are always listing cool and unusual stuff. They've relisted this amp 4 times now with the same starting price each time which leads me to believe that it's over priced...

But honestly... you buyt a Blues Jr., re-tube it, do the Bill M. Tone Stack mods, try a couple different speakers, but some new pedals to push it...
$800 sounds about average.

I've seen one of those at the local Music go Round (for $800). I even plugged it in. The best that I could tell, it was a Blues junior. It sounded OK, but NEVER for $800. It doesn't even have a Fender Jewel on it. It has the standard Blues Junior little red dot power light. You would think if someone was going to upgrade the amp like that (with a 'retro' look) they would at least change out the lamp to a jewel.

Thats true, but as manufactured, it's a frosted turd. $800 for a chassis and a cabinet is kinda steep.Well, it's an awfully nice box. Too bad they couldn't put a decent amp in it. It'd probably be a great candidate for the 5f4/5e7 treatment. Then it would be killer.
Isn't/wasn't there also a "Woody" version of a BJ (That's Blues Jr, BTW) too.

I really love the covering. I think it's the best-looking homebrew I've seen in lo, these many years. Makes me yearn for a classy-looking thing like that with a fire-breathing Marshall 18-watt chassis inside.

As for the Marshall, if you've never tried one, locate a Traynor YGM-3 and give it a whirl. With the right speakers it can be VERY Marshally. They're simple to mod and cheap, too. I paid $250 for the original amp.

Yep, and it screams to be put in a different, smaller cabinet. It' probably has fewer watts per square inch of grillcloth than any other amp.

They're really thin front to back. Something like three feet tall, and only six or seven inches of depth.
Coco-Tone would disagree, but they sound much better open back than closed back. I did an A/B with the band, and every member said open was better, even the singer.

If you mean the YGM-3, they're about 26-27" tall by about 9 or 10" deep and about 18" wide. As an example, the amp I built is the same depth and 27" wide. I think it's 22" tall.
I think they sound great both ways. The closed back makes it Marshall-up a lot earlier. The open back IS A HELLUVA LOT LOUDER! I mean, the difference is astounding. I preferred mine open back, but I was looking for more headroom and cleans at gig levels. That's why the Jensens. If I wanted crunchy crunches, I'd go closed back with a Celestion and maybe mic it up.
