    Looks fantastic, BTW.
Actually i think most of it is due to the fret leveling job i had to do in order to fix some really bad fret wear on the first three frets. Like i might have said before, it really needs a re-fret. However, i think i can get another year or so of play if I file down a few problem frets just a tad. I also still have to tilt the neck back and raise the bridge, like suggested earlier in this thread.

    Thanks!

Sorry, but I don't know enough about the Steely Dan guitarist to understand that compliment.

    Do you mind explaining?

I'd play it. Way retro feel to it. Kind of a Red Green look to it. Makes you want to plug into a transister radio or something and wail away.

RedGreen is one of my favorite shows actually. I have their "stuffed and mounted" DVD set!

But seriously, many of the parts were stolen from Old Man Sedgewick and Buzz Sherwood. Unfortunately the duct tape didn't didn't hold the neck on very long, and wielding just wasn't working out. So i got a little fancy and used screws... from the hardware store to replace various ones i've lost. (don't look at the guard too closely)

The middel strat pup cover is blackend with a sharpie, as GFS sent me the wrong color cover because I forgot to specify black.

The pickups and guard are GFS, and the knobs come from an old 1/2" reel to reel tape player/recorder that my dad had for the longest time but couldn't fix.

The pots are probably 40+ years old, but they are the high quality sealed type curtsey of Richard C. Heyser's spare parts bin (long story). It also has an old orange drop cap on the tone pot that has .50uf printed on the outside.

Oh yeah, the tone pot is 300K and not 250 like the volume... is that why the roll off happens do fast?

Again, thanks for everyones help and comments during the construction of this axe!

Latest picture, what do you think of the "srv" style stickers? Should they stay or go?

Actually it changed when i put a 250k pot in there, and then even better when i added the .33uf kimber kap.

Sorry did I for get the zero again? Dang nabbit. I just opened her up a the cap is .033uf.
