You'll have to ask Billy F. Gibbons or Kurt Linhoff.

So that's the legendary Strat that was given to Gibbons by Jimi Hendrix during the Moving Sidewalks days and used on those first albums?!

UNLESS B.F.G. can PLAY LEFT-HANDED , THIS IS IT.

Have you ever seen Jimi play a left handed guitar?

JIMI did'nt play left-handed guitars, he played right -handed guitars strung left-handed. ( do your homework)

There's quite a bit to that story you may not know-but it's not up to me to have to explain it.

I was just thinking that since you mentioned the rev, that maybe your guitar may have been the one in the stories by him. Sure some of his tales are tall. I've done my homework enough to know that most likely if Jimi Gave Billy a pink strat, that it was most likely right handed. thought maybe you (or your tech) had the skills to string it right handed so you could play it all these years and have a nice story for us.

I'll just have to speculate that you got that nice pink strat for selling a lot of makeup. :lol ;)

Well, makeup commissions have been a little slow(just kidding)

While I can't tell you everything about this guitar,I will tell you that it was in the possession of both B.F.G. and Kurt Linhoff during the early days. I've had it a number of years. Yes, B.F.G. has told a few tales in his time, have'nt we all. But I can assure you this guitar is a large segment of that JIMI story. I heard that story in 1970. I'm sure if you've seen or read B.F.G.'s new book you will see that any mention of the infamous pink strat is omitted. There' a good reason for that. Like I said earlier, that's not for me to explain. A few people know the real story, maybe someday everyone will know. That's all I will say about it. Thanks for your interest. Gabe

I seem to have vague memories of why (or why not) that story may have been ommited.
Maybe it's a good thing you got yours from selling cosmetics! ;)

    If that guitar could talk...

oh, that's right, you make it cry and sing.

Yeah! What about that strap!!! It doesn't match the guitar at all. Send that old axe to me and I'll forward you a nice blue one immediately. ;) A cosmetics salesperson like yourself should project a better sense of color coordination.

I like 'em too. Now, I don't remeber the whole custom color list, but that real light pink... is that "Flamingo pink"?

Fender Japan produced a run of that colour in Strats about 8 or so years ago. I remember looking at one in a local store.
They nicknamed it Germolene pink here in the UK after the antiseptic pink ointment.
