does the Jaguar look 10x cooler as a bass than it ever did as a guitar?

It's you.
I'm not saying it doesn't look cool...just not 10x cooler.
I also think they should have given it some funky new pickups. As is, I can't help but think it's just a pimped up Jazz Bass.

It's about 50x cooler. :yay
Is it short scale?
Any fool can see it's only 12.7 times cooler.
I think Jazzmasters look way cool as guitars. I'll give you 1.7x. {Hard look. Pregnant pause.} 2.5 times cooler and that's my final offer.
We may need to go to arbitration to settle this.
The cool factor goes up when the example isn't black. Black just isn't that flattering on these things.

Yeah, I know it's just a Jazzer with a few extra switches, but the shape looks way cooler as a bass, than as a guitar.

i just don't like all the extra switches. i think if they revamped that part a little to make it 10x better. russian judge gives it a 7.4.
"don't worry, i'm a professional!"
Yeah, I think it works better for some reason -- better visual balance, somehow -- it's even got a bit of a non-reverse T-bird vibe going (although I don't even know if they did a non-reverse T-bird!)
It would be interesting to put a phtot of a 6-string beside to figure out what's going on...

Makes me wanna take up bass.:yay
If you leave the house, you're just asking for it.
I like the black jag guitar - if the did a bass version of this, it'd be straight on it
That black pickguard/headstock makes such a difference

I like the "consolidated" pickguard on the bass better. The block inlays on the fretboard are also a plus -- maybe that's part of why it looks a bit Gibson to me. I'm not sure I'd like the black headstock on the bass better, either.

50X for sure!
Things are more like they are today than they have ever been before.
