I just got one of these Peterson Stomp tuners and after sitting at home for few hours with it and reading the Peterson Forum for tips and a few gigs under my belt with it I'm still not comfortable with teh tuner and find it erratic/finicky and super sensitive. Certain strings can make the display go crazy and it can get nerve wracking when trying to do a quick tuning inbetween songs.

As for my pedalboard I've got a pretty basic setup:

    Fulltone Fulldrive II
    Boss Chorus
    Boss EQ
Peterson Stomp Tuner (Formerly used a Korg DT-10)

    Just reworked mine...

    A/B box to TU-2
    Chain goes DejaVibe 2 > Fulldrive 2 > Direct Drive > AD-9 RI > Bad Bob

Powered by DC Brick. Nice and quiet. All the dirt is currently on 18V, but I'm thinking I'm gonna put the boost and maybe the Fulldrive back on 9 V. The Direct Drive is a bit edgier with the higher voltage.

I own a few old pedals but the only effect I currently use is a Barber Ltd. When it's off it's off! Everything else just seems to suck the tone right out of my rig. But I am looking for a good wah that does not suck tone, might need to mod it.

    Re: What's on your pedalboard?

Mine's kind of antique(vintage?) A 73 Fender Fuzz Wah Really nasty gigantic fuzz tone. A 73 Ibanez Phase Tone (Maxon) the one knob deal, a Mutron Micro V, Tube Screamer TS10 yeah I know, Ibanez Digital Delay, Ibanez Metal Distortion. I used to have a Mutron III and a Mutron Octave Divider but I sold them for big bucks. Lately I've been running just a cord and cranking the amp. None of my effects are true bypass and I really noticed it suck tone like crazy with my new amp. (Hot Rod Deluxe) Funny I never noticed it with my Twin.

I ordered it. I really like the sound, but it's touchy. Sometimes it doesn't sound very distorted at all, other times, it's like a fuzz. I need to tweak it in a bit. Two knobs can be more complex than you think.

    Re: What's on your pedalboard?

I am looking for a good stompbox tuner to add to my pedalboard. one that I can tune on stage but bypass the sound so everyone doesnt have to heard me. I also usually play half a step down so the display either needs to be easy to read a half step down or it needs to have a button to push so i can tune to half down

we have a handheld tuner (korg) that does this, but it aint gonna cut it on stage

    any thoughts?

    You need the Boss TU-2.

    Here's my setup:

Boss TU-2 -> Voodoo Labs Sparkle Drive-> Voodoo Labs Microvibe -> Electro-Harmonix Deluxe Memory Man -> Dunlop 535Q or GCB-95 Wah.

    Re: What's on your pedalboard?

    My current setup:

    Order is:

    Bad Bob > TU-2 > Deja Vibe > CPL > Dirty Dan > Fulldrive > AD-9 > Fluttertone

Powered by DC Brick, which conveniently fits on the underside of the board (old version Pedaltrain)

I'd like to get a smaller Vibe unit, but this'll do.

The Bad Bob got moved to the front of the food chain when I got my Gretsch. Filtertrons seem to mud up really quickly when you turn down the volume. I think it's a loading issue. The uber-high input impedence of the Bad Bob solves that issue. Crisp all the way up and down the volume control.

It's a love/hate relationship. Most of the time, I love it, with tweeds and BF type circuits. The past week or so, I've been getting into the full, solid bottom end of my Bassman/metal-front Marshall hybrid 1x12 combo, and I think it just hates it. It just sounds like a massively compressed nasally mess. Then again, I haven't really cranked it up to gigging volume. We'll see on Friday!

FWIW, it's one of the old "non-flat-mids" versions. At times like this, I think I should buy the new one with the switch.

    Re: What's on your pedalboard?

Alright, finally spent time figuring out this picture post thing. Here's my pedal board, virtually everything picked up within last four months as I dive headfirst into mid-life GAS attack!

Oh, oops. I included a couple of other recent acquisitions.

American Deluxe aged cherry strat maple neck into -- TU2 -- Teese RMCII -- DS1 keeley mod -- BD2 keeley -- TS9 keeley -- GE7 sniper mod -- CE2 keeley -- DD3 keeley -- Fender Reverb 63 reissue (being modded today, not pictured) into Victoria 50212 low power twin with Weber blue dog ceramic 50w and Jensen C12N (soon to be replaced with Weber Blue Dog alnico 50w). A Barb EQ on the way.

Kinda went on a Keeley mod bender when I first started.

Two ODs and a distortion, probably will be losing the DS1, especially now that I've gone tweed.

    What fun

I see you have a Pedaltrain board. I'm looking at getting one too and the one you have looks to be just the right size to fit all of my toys. Can you tell me what model you bought?

    Thanks!

Pedaltrain 2 with a hard case. I like it alot. Very good for keeping an organized board. Another case to lug to a gig, but worth it. I've been thinking of getting a pedaltrain jr to carry a smaller selection to jams or smaller gigs.

I like it a lot. Sort of a cross between fuzz and overdrive, without actually hitting distortion. Strange, but cool.

The compressor is going out. Replaced by the SD-9.
