    No the 16 second delay is a bit different, for Fripp-type sound-on-sound layering. The memory man is a more conventional analog delay, with built-in chorus.

    I'd also add that every Memory Man I've played through had audible clock whine that changed pitch with the length of delay knob.
    Several guitars in different colors

    Was that a new one? I was thinking about getting one...

    Some things EH can do great, some things (like background noise and pops on switches) they just seem to be rubbish at.

    All of the ones I've ever tried were used. Some were tried recently, but whether the were 'old' or 'new' I don't know.

    No, that's a different box. I know Nels uses the 16-Second Delay for looping. You can find both pedals here.

    That's exactly what my Dan-echo does. Sometimes. And sometimes it just whines really loud. Then sometimes it doesn't.

    That's why I'm in the market for a new unit, but now after checking out lure555's link, a BIG MUFF might be on the Christmas list...
