    "The Blackguard Book". Totally AMAZING.

Oversized, heavy stock pages...HUNDREDS of the most detailed pics you'll ever find.
Mine came today and I was transfixed.

    Worth every penny and more.

Each comes with it's own serial number stamped on the cover over a bridgeplate!! 5500 copues will be printed.

This book is a MUST if you dig old Teles and Broadcasters.
How about the first LEFTY! It had a RIGHTY neck because Leo hadn't made a template for a reverse head yet. He made it because someone wanted it!
Strats and Mustangs and Coronados...OH MY!

Nacho from the TDP did that book it is very well done.

They used an electron microscope at a cost oif $8000 per hour to do some pickup reaserch on the old Broadcaster pickups.

Got the "Blackguard Book" today and it is magnificent! Great . deailed, high quality photos and tons of info on these classsic guitars. I immediately went into the vault and pulled out Esquire #4944 dated 6-11-53 and examined all parts for authenticity. Learned that "EM" in the neck cavity of my Esquire stands for "Eddie Mendoza". Wish there was a bit more about the employees since their names appear on many of the blackguard guitars. But the book is well worth the 80 plus dollars.

The books are numbered and only 5500 will be published according to the info in the cover.

This could have been titled "Beauty of the Blackguard" since it is every bit as useful as BOTB. Highly recommend this one

I looked at JK Lutherie site and can not figure out if they have the books in stock or they only got in ones that were pre-ordered or what. Do they just do run once they get enough pre-orders or something?

They may have run out of inventory. My wife ordered my copy as a gift about two weeks ago, arrived on or about the 20th of December.

Call them at 800-344-8880 in case you don't have number.

Just got it today, all I can say is that it is unbeliveable. The photos are so good that every time you look at them you see something you have not noticed before.

Not just a book but a piece of art.

    Thanks,
    Jedi

The Blackguard book is truely a work of art, and as 24Loar pointed out, it raises the bar for Vintage Gear books. What amazes me is how quickly Nacho put this masterpiece together. It seemed like only 18 months ago, he posted on the Weber "Tele" board his interest in writing a book on Blackguards and here it is. My hat's off to him, a great job!
