HOLY CRAP! $561. I watched it close, partly sad and partly bemused. It went from $475-$561 in the last minute and a half.

Unbelievable. I e-mailed that dude and warned him. He must have thought I was a crank or a competitive bidder. Poor bastard. Wait til that thing shows up at his door and he realizes what a piece of crap it really is. Tis a sad day indeed.

Well, to be fair to the unfortunate soul who ended up with this turkey.
When I Ebay, I get lots of phone calls from "know-it-alls," who mainly have an agenda of one form or another. In this case, trying to convince the high bidder they've bidding on a piece of crap, so you can snipe it at the last minute.
OTOH, if you don't know enough to know when you're in over your head, you have a different problem.

Sometimes I am really touched by the goodwill that is in this Forum.
But if some guy has more money than sense, and doesn't recognise goodwill when he sees it... at the end of the day it is HIS MONEY and therefore HIS RESPONSIBILITY. Some people do things that we can never understand....
And similarly, what we have here, THEY might never understand. :nelson
True that, Glory.
But then again, after paying $560 for that thing, I think he'd understand our real Tele's very well!

How do you e-mail an ebay buyer? I thought you could only e-mail them if they were a seller, or if you had a transaction with them.Originally Posted by Tele-Bob
When the auction is going on, you can look at "bids" and then select a bidder. Once you've clicked on that bidder, a box opens up on the right side of the screen with info on the bidder. There is a silver button that says something like, "Contact This Member"Originally Posted by LesPauloholic
If for some reason that option is not open, I will click on "Other items member has for sale." If the person has an item for sale, I contact him through the "Ask seller a question" option.
It's a little bit of effort. One I surely would appreciate someone making if I were about to get screwed out of $560 on a bogus guitar.
