    Cassette decks..

I'm looking for a cheap, pro quality cassette deck to do some recording and transfers to digital.

When I worked in duplication, I used a Nakamichi 600 for QC, and I really liked it, but they, even 25 years later are selling for a good chunk of change.

Anyone know of other obsolete pro quality decks I can consider?

I got a Tascam Portastudio 246 for $175 on ebay.
If you leave the house, you're just asking for it.

I'll think about that, but I don't need the multi track capabilities. just like a 2 head unit...

    Re: Cassette decks..

    Just picked up a TEAC V510 on the bay - £10 :)

It's not pro quality, but neither are the tapes I'm converting to digital.

I noticed some really nice pro decks that were not too expensive, but the semi pro stuff is really cheap.

    BTW, great avatar Photoman.
All right, but apart from the sanitation, medicine, education, wine, public order, irrigation, roads, the fresh water system and public health, what have the Romans ever done for us?
