I thought I'd also mention again, I'm bringing over some amps 'n stuff for folks to play and see what they think. A 5E3 Narrow Panel Deluxe repro and a 5E7 3x10 Narrow Panel Bandmaster repro, as well as the Mojo-Box reverb/trem unit.

Park one of those in the "Two Guitar Limit" room and I'll have a swing at it! You can give my Allen Accomplice a test drive while you're there.
If you're bored, you're not groovin'.
Charlie Fitz will be on the scene.
I figured I'd put the Deluxe in there. It wouldn't be able to keep up in the other rooms, anyway.Originally Posted by Tele-Bob

For the second time I've got a last minute conflict. I was definitely looking forward to another jam with all the great folks that stop in to these festivities.
Got room for one more?
You know it guitar george! Glad you can make it.
Guitar Ray, you're just a dumbass if you can't make this one. There's even someone coming out from Buffalo who you could car pool it with. All you have to do is write on your calander. That way when someone says, "hey, on Dec 4th we have to blah blah blah", youi can say, "let me check my schedule" and *POOF* you show them that you're busy on that day. That's how it works man! Not to mention, you'll get ALOT of jam time with three rooms going and 6+ hoyrs to get it goin' on!
So far it's:
Guitar Ray
Tele-Bob
Kap'n
GibsonJunkie
Mark Jacobs
ric480
Franklin
Falstaff

Charlie Fitz
........and a host of friends who will be coming from the local area.
Bass players and drummers are sorely needed so please, give us a hand if you can.
Anyone can e-mail me with any questions: bikeshots@earthlink.net

Guess I'll just have to be a dumbass then. Unfortunately, others didn't consult my calendar when they scheduled a 50th Anniversary party.
Don't quote me, but I may get my bass player to come on down.Originally Posted by Tele-Bob

I e-mailed Troy a couple weeks ago. I think we're picking him up on the way...

TB: I missed the "Deer Strike" jam. Looking forward to this one, just like all the others. Too bad that elderly guy from Philly can't make it - er, what's his name ?
Franklin: Welcome to the forum - dumbass !
Yeah ric480, I guess the old guy from Philly just isn't up for the trip anymore. You get to a certain age ya know, where the riggors of travel just wreak havoc on your elderly bones. Oh well. At least Franklin will be representing thebluesbarn.

thebluesbarn knocked up my wife!!!! He better not be there!

thebluesbarn used to write all of my posts for me. Now that he's gone I donna knew what i say okay you?
He used to author my posts too. His prices became outrageuos, blaming it on demand and the value of his time. Good riddance!!!

That old guy from Philly? Who is he? It would be neato-keen and super duper to meet another codger so close to Phoenixville.
Right now it looks as if me and at least one of my sons wil make it, but that's always subject to change.....

Hmmm. I thought peter r was going to show. Any word from the ajays?
"I got murder in my heart for the judge."
No word from the Ajays. I sent peter r an e-mail about the jam. He's no longer a member here so he wouldn't know about it. I also sent IPLAYLOUD an e-mail inviting him. Of course shadoe will come along too.

Bob, is it still $25 for outside bass/drum players?
Just want to clarify, I've invited several of each and want to call them up......

Yeah, it's $25 for everyone. In the past, I have let bass players and drummers slide because they really form the backbone of these jams. But I am going to some extra expense on this one and honestly, I've come up short about $100 the last couple times. I don't really mind, but I'm trying to help someone out here. A fellow musician who could use a break.Originally Posted by Franklin
I do have some Indian Larry swag to either raffle off or give away, haven't decided yet, and a couple Fender Gig Bags. There are friends bringing alot of extra food as well so no one will go hungry.
This is a jam "as usual" but it is also for the benefit of a good friend. He doesn't know I'm doing this for him. His wife thought he'd be too uncomfortable if he knew, so he won't be there.
Tap me an e-mail if anyone has any special concerns.

Great cause!! Hey, Tom is one of us! He's been to more jams than many of us!!! I think that we should also do a 50/50 raffle, or, raffle off any swag we can scrounge up.
:)

Bob,
I'd be happy to kick in a few extra bucks rather than have you take a hit...
It looks like Troy T won't be making it - he has another thing going on.

Thanks, GJ but that won't be necessary. As I said, I don't mind coughing up the few extra bucks but I'd like to try and raise a few for Tom. Even if 4 bass players and 4 drummers pay this time, that's $200. It should be OK and I really appreciate your support!

Ok, looks like I'm a definite "go". I lined up some friends to crash with in Syracuse so I don't have to drive 7 hours at once and then try to be ready to jam.
Tele-Bob or Gibsonjunkie or anyone else in the area, can you email me with a suggestion of where to stay on Sunday night? I took Monday off work, so I'll be there for any post-jam breakfast or whatever you guys have planned.
Looking forward to it! Should I bring my bass, or do we have enough real bassists now?
I'll have to let someone more local give you the name of a place to stay - we're about 45 minutes away...
"We catched fish and talked, and we took a swim now and then to keep off sleepiness." Mark Twain
There were a whole bunch of suggestions in this thread for places to stay in the Bethel/Southbury area which is about 20 minutes from the jam. Just look back through this thread. I think I even posted links.
Unfortunately, I have a big shoot on morning and will not be available unless all the parts for the bike I'm shooting don't arrive by tomorrow. Then the shoot is cancelled and Monday breakfast becomes an option.
There is also the possibility of a "Pre-Jam Breakfast Gathering" if anyone is up for it. I almost enjoy these socials more than the jam itself!

Sunday is "Jam Day" , so breakfast is always an option. Mrs. Junkie may have to work Sunday - they are closing the books and they are in the midst of a huge audit, so she may not make it (I'm sure it's more because she's heartbroken that Fenderboy won't make it...)
I'll take on the photography role - just bought a 1 GB CF card for the Fuji - so I can take LOTS of pics!!!

Hey, I got an idea! Lets record the jam so we all don't get to hear it again. LOL!
