Sorry guys, I'll be on a jet to go run the boats down south. I think we'll be in Tennesee that week. Then a quick Crossfyre gig, and off to Las Vegas the next week.

I am SO SICK of beautiful girls in bikinis and fast boats ---NOT!

about 4˝ hours out. but dont think I'm up to attending the jam and doing 9 hours of driving all in one day. thanks for any info. Kap'n says parts of Waterbury are bad, but I don't know. I've only been up in this part of the country for about 2 years.

Parts of all cities are bad. If you're staying at a reputable hotel, you'll be fine.

    Stay away from this one.

Oh my! is it too late to cancel my reservation? Isn't that mama looking out the upstairs window of the house. Janet Leigh was a screamer, wasn't she?
I wonder if she was a screamer in ....... oh never mind. ;)

I wonder is anyone ever noticed that Marion's body is clearly wearing a bra when Norman carries her out to the car in the shower curtain.
I guess she was kinda weird.

The film contains a number of flaws..........look it up and you'll see :)

Re: It's New England Jam Time Again!!!

You might be better off finding a hotel in Southbury. It's right on I-84, about 25 minutes from the jam and there are no "bad sections" of Southbury.

    Hilton Southbury
    1284 Strongtown Road
    Southbury, CT 06488 US
Centrally located between Boston and New York, nearby to Danbury and Waterbury, the Hilton Southbury is nestled in the Litchfield Hills area.

    Dolce Heritage
    522 Heritage Road
    Southbury, Ct 6488

    I'm out.

    Can't make it.
Finishing a job on the Sunday the 4th to start another on the 5th.

Now...if somebody wants to give me the mortgage money for December, I'll be there.
Otherwise, yooze guys will have to get along without me.

    Bummer...really.
I haven't missed one of these since Jam#I, when Bob got Mike to keep it going for another hour because it took me 7 hours to get there.
I know you'll all have a wonderful time.....and there'll be one less guitar in the Two Guitar Room.

    Bob,

How should I get ahold of Mike? I may want him to set up one of my guitars while I'm there.

Thanks for the invite but I have to work. I have until the week after to finish up all projects before the year end freeze goes into effect. I don't mind though...if affects the bonus so I have an incentive. :blbros

I'm soooo bummed. I can't make it that weekend. Seems like every time you all have a NE jam, I have to go out-of-town to visit my kids. Well, I hope the jam goes great! I'll be with you all in spirit.

I am so glad you're coming ric480! You've been to every jam so far if I recall correctly. You and Jane definitely fall into the, "wouldn't be the same without ya" category. Looking forward to seeing your mugs again!

Well, I'm tentatively in. It will be a 7 hour drive each way for me, but I hope to make it happen. I guess I need to decide between driving in on Saturday and staying two nights or trying to drive in on Sunday morning right before the jam...

Hmm. The things I do to jam with other musicians...

Re: It's New England Jam Time Again!!!

If it's any consolation Jesse S, GibsonJunkie and I drove 1 1/2 hours to a gig the night before the Rochester Jam, and then drove another 3 hours after the gig til 5:00 am, slept for 4 hours and then woke up at 9:30 am to drive the remaining 1 1/2 hours to the jam! No wonder I couldn't string 3 decent notes together! LOL!

Anyway, we're all crazy when it comes to this stuff. Besides, I just landed some pretty cool non-music schwag to raffle off!

    So far it's:
    Tele-Bob
    Kap'n
    GibsonJunkie
    Mark Jacobs
    ric480
    Franklin
    Falstaff
    Tom P
    Jesse S.
    MMP
    guitar george
........and a host of friends who will be coming from the local area. Bass players and drummers are sorely needed so please, give us a hand if you can.

I have posted this on a Telecaster specific forum and some folks from there are going to attend as well.

If anyone here is a member of "tweedscape" and wouldn't mind posting a thread, please e-mail me and I will provide you with an appropriate "notice" that you can simply copy and paste. There are several folks over there who will attend. Thanks. bikeshots@earthlink.net
