Name tags rule! So does fruit salad!
Kap'n I would love to try your amps. If the crowd is thin enough in the room where you set up, I'd love to give'em a whirl. Perhaps I'll even bring my Allan Accomplice.
If you're bored, you're not groovin'.
I should be able to make it. Looking forward to a lot of you in person and (gulp) my first jam. Thanks, T-B!

You'll be among friends AC. Getting that first jam under your belt is a lot like having sex for the first except that the jam is less awkward and lasts a lot longer. Just don't get anyone pregnant at the jam, OK? :)

Yeah, I'll just hold an aspirin between my knees. Works every time.

My first jam was like 5 years ago in CT? 5? 6?
Just ask anybody.....I'm hooked....and old T-B made me feel very welcome that first time...little did he know then....he even ran the jam a bit longer because I was so late in arriving.
It took me seven and a half hours to drive up to CT tht first time...big traffic jam in NYC. I nearly ran out of gas. It took 2 hours just to cross the GWB....I don't go that way anymore.
I sure hope that I can get it together to make this jam too.
They are the Sland. The Sland, I say.
You hope.... HOPE.....?!!!!!!
You're coming if we have to go down there and drag your ass back up to CT fot the Sland Jam!!!
It wouldn't be sland if you don't make it...:toobad

I guess I better come up with one of those avatar piccies if GJ is making nametags again!
Rickenjangle, thanks for the carpool offer! Let me know once you know if you're going - that would really help break up the driving for me (and save a bit of tolls too).
I'll be fresh from seeing Paul McCartney the weekend before - maybe I'll work up some old Beatles stuff in honor of that...
I will take you up on your offer T-B if the trip works out for me.Originally Posted by Tele-Bob

There is ample room at Casa de Junkie as well. We are about an hour away from the jam...

Hey, check out these pics from the last CT jam. They are only a few pics from many, and only capture a small part of the jam. There was so much fun and jamming, these pics do not do the jam enough justice!!
Some pics from March 05!
Most are of my band because I posted these particular pics on our site. Anyway, there is a pic of Tele-Bob's friend Tom there, the one who had the horrible car accident.

There's room here, too, but it's about an hour in the wrong direction for most folks.Originally Posted by gibsonjunkie

When are one of you CT guys gonna open the TFF Jam-otel?
I can see the sign now...a huge neon, glowing Strat suspended on a 80 foot pole by its lower horn just off Rt. 8...with the headstock pointing down towards the Jam-otel entrance and the direction of the entrance further suggested by a repeating neon animation of an exaggerated pentatonic run that starts on the 12th and moves fast down to the open low E....over and over and over.
Sounds like somebody needs to move the Motel Hi-Ho!Originally Posted by FenderBoy

The 4th works for me unless I relocate (got an out-of-town job offer I'm mulling over)
Yes Frank, an offer, finally.

Kansas City (can you believe it?) but before I jump want to be sure that I exhaust all options in NY/CT. Thx for asking.

Paul, besides the Big Red Couch, the TeleBob's have a OSA approved inflatable bed. Highly reccomended.

You might find the ice storms in winter and the tornado threats in summer a bit daunting, but K.C. is a Great Town.....The music scene there is outstanding!Originally Posted by mark jacobs

Lisa and I seriously discussed moving there just this past summer.

KC is the "average city." The demographics closely resemble the demographics of the country at large. A lot of products are test marketed there because of that. So, whatever you like, you can probably find it there.

I was there number of years ago - all I remember was the wonderful smell of coffee in the air... The Folgers plant was near downtown and it smelled wonderful!!!

hmmmmmmmm. I'm wondering if we shouldn't plan a little social shindig for the night before the jam.
Of course, if anyone is still in town and would like to attend the traditional "morning after brunch" that would be cool too. I'll just take the day off.

A ton of shrimp at your place would be nice again on the night before....and of course, the post jam breakfast is always a hoot (the sland).Originally Posted by Tele-Bob
