Did I miss something?
To tell the truth, I've been geeking out on amps for the past year or so, and I've not kept up with the Fender board.
So, when I was casually browsing Teles on eBay, I stumbled upon this.
Now, call me crazy, but $3,500 for a '78 Tele seems a touch high. $750 may be, but $3,500? Nah!
Then again, when I saw GC selling a '78 Marshall Super Bass for three grand, I knew something was up. Does anyone actually pay those prices?

If it's any consolation, the seller has 3 pages of gear listed all with no bids and all outrageously priced. Some of it is suspect in quality too.

I guess they're hoping those Japanese millionaires come-a-calling. I mean, I could understand it if it perhaps had some divine provenance -- if it were owned by Keith Richards, or something. But three-and-a-half grand for a run-of-the-mill seventies Tele is just lunacy!

Yeah, but it's "gcrepvintage" selling "art objects"- get 'em before somebody else does! The "Vintage Vault" is bursting at the seams!
Wonder what was smoked before he (or she) wrote that copy!
I really don't think they are trying to sell the guitars via an auction. It's just really cheap way to advertise their inventory.
