The black S with the pointy head is stupid light bass wood. Those who love bass wood guitars here is your chance. The Fiesta red S guitar is one I made for Dana about 4 years ago light Ash body and one peice skunked neck, 9.5 radius, plays real easy with .011's. Dana used his pups so it does not have my pups.We assembled and set this one up with all gotoh hardware to Dana's standard.

Dana is a local guy, and friend. He is a big time cowboy who cannot make up his mind. He is famous for selling off great gear.
He is probably playing his steel these days.

Yeah, I was watchin that one... I topped out in the bidding at about $1350, mainly because I want Scott to build me one to *my* specs, but watching that bid come in literally in the last seconds really PO'd me...

Someone got a great guitar and at a bargain to boot! I would very much like to talk to the person that bought the guitar. The guitar does not have my signature sound, as the pups are not mine they were the generic after market style. As good as it sounds double that and you have my sound!!

Tonefiend mentioned over on the LPF that they are both 3/4 size guitars. While that may be cool to some, I think it's odd the seller didn't mention that fact in either auction.

    Black Lentz - Pointy head

Rarely do you ever find a guitar with such a high quality neck and finish work as is on the pointy head strat that I bought from from a guy on eBay. The frets have the crests feathered
so that they that any set depth differences are all taken into account. The frets are not beveled at the ends which allows for great vibrato on both E strings. I wish all my strat's were like this. The frets add to the ease of sliding up and down the fretboard and don't feel like your running over railroad tracks. I had some Sperzel's put on her and I plan to replace the brass saddles with some steel saddles. I own 4 other strat's, Parker, homebuilt, Fender and a Jackson. None of them hold a candle to the totally awesome neck feel of the Lentz.

Hey Rdavis welcome to the forum!

Those '80s Lentzs were some great guitars! If your into the Jackson '80s style thing those guitars are about as good as it gets. I believe the last one must have been made around '90 or so.

I'd love to score one of his Firebirds!!

Have you spoken with Scott? Email me I'll get you in touch.
