IIRC, there were three maple neck Jazzmasters, but no maple Jags.
Several guitars in different colors
Things to make them fuzzy
Things to make them louder
orange picks
no maple jags........that's strange, no?
that would neat to put one on, huh?

Not really. Leo used maple early on for budgetery reasons. Rosewood was considered a premium upgrade. When the Jaquar was introduced, it was intended to be the flagship Fender model...it was the most expensive guitar they offered for several years. Therefore, it got the good board, not the budget one.

I stand corrected.
Blocks on a maple neck look like crap, don't they?

And I stand with my foot in my mouth.

i will stand and be counted as a complete ...
don't like blocks on a maple board unless they're black like on the geddy lee bass. blocks in rosewood though....get me a towel.
"don't worry, i'm a professional!"
well, i like the abolone/MOP blocks on maple.....it's kinda subtle....you don't realize it at 1st, then it's like, whoa, cool....
when i first saw the camo bullseye LP w/ the maple neck, i almost popped right there!
and Kap'n, you pis comes up as a red X.......no pic!....waaaaaaaa
so the Jag was the *new coke*?......ooops!....i'll bet they lost a ton'o'cash on that one!

Don't know where the pic went. Anyway it was a green 1970 Jag with maple and black blocks from some German website. Immaculate, but still looked like spit.
They've gotta be pretty rare, since Fender only did rosewood when they were popular. With the 24" neck, CBS Fender probably just modified Mustang/Musicmaster/Bronco necks to make 'em up, and those were always rosewood.
