    Guitar Port and RiffTracker...

I'm going to pick up a Guitar Port to mess around with and I would also like to try some recording as well. I can get the RiffTracker for $45 as opposed to the $90-100 it usually goes for (Open box special). Should I just get RiffTracker or is there a better option out there? My biggest concern is simplicity because I am completely new to recording. Thanks! :)

Actually for what you want to do and at your stage of recording a Guitar Port and RiffTracker for 45 bucks would be perfect. Even at twice that much with the Rifftracker it would be good.
Guitar Port is becoming much more advanced now and you can even add some of the custom amp collections to it

Go for it, I think you will be very happy with your acquisition.

If you are gonna dream, dream it all.
If you are gonna go for it, give it all you have got and that includes a clear head.

Thanks for the reply. I got antsy and couldn't wait any longer for someone to reply so I went ahead and ordered it a couple of days ago. :) Hopefully it will be here tomorrow or early next week.
