    Cool HB Tele

Here's one for you guys who like to do mods on your Tele (that's how great the Tele is--we love 'em stock and we love 'em anyway you want 'em!).

Late 90's Fender Japan Jeff Beck "Blow By Blow" Tribute Telecaster. This is a Replica of the Double Humbucker Tele Seymour Duncan built for Jeff Beck that he used and recorded with throughout the 70's and can be seen using the guitar on the Secret Policemans Ball DVD. Totally Original, this Tele was custom ordered for a Fender Dealer in Japan. Unique features include a Seymour Duncan JB Zebra Bridge Humbucker and Zebra PAF Style Neck Pickup, Cut-off Shortened Tele Bridge, Ash Body, Big 50's style Maple Neck and double string trees.

Isn't there a special level of Hell reserved for those that put humbuckers in a Tele?

That's a tough call. Technically, they ARE single coils. Probably just a short stay in Pergatory.

No, you're safe on that one TB.

It's not a Tele. :) (Where's Pete when you need him?)
A friend in need is a good reason to screen your calls.

    Re: Cool HB Tele

    ...it's not a Tele
but it is MIJ - but it does not have Hamel Single Coil Pickups (Fralins are OK and Fender barely acceptable) if so it met that criteria it would be a real Tele
Gospel as per our departed Pete

It is a seriously cool looking guitar that no doubt sound fantastic - if I owned it I would simply call it a Telecaster with Humbuckers and be happy as do dah to own it.

There definitely is. It's one level above the ones who think change of any kind is wrong, and two levels above the ones who think that anything other than what they like is wrong.

    :lol

Now, abalone nut and graphite dots would be truly unique, and might send you right past pergatory to the BIG SHOW...

    Re: Cool HB Tele

Great to see so many stirred up for a little HB action! I like the way the bridge pu is very close to the bridge--and the standard Tele bridge has been shortened. Looks cool too with the pups uncovered, nice Zebra looking Tele, hardly see 'em like that--in heaven or hell...

The only one I've seen is Jeff Beck's, which looked like it had been through hell, and Butnut's tribute to JB's.
    Is this one yours?

Not mine, just wanted to share the cool pic and maybe fuel some do-it-yourselfers. Not that I'm not tempted to buy it--I like everything about it, but it would be about #10 on my to get list--so maybe next week...
