Considering what the originals go for these days.

I was in lots of bands that EB-0's and EB-3s back in the late 70's. They were dirt cheap, since nobody wanted them.

Great narrow necks for guitar players who want to double.

Gibson basses generally used a shorter scale than the Fender standard which contributed to it's less than spectacular tone which was further diminished by the muddy sounding electronics. They're well made they just don't hve the bass sound most peopke are looking for.

Right, but this one is a slot-head. If it's really a Gibson knock-off, the slot-heads are actually the EB-3L - "L" for long (34") scale.

Hmmm. Not my thing. Reminds me of the Gibbie SG guitar. But to each his own.

I think its the "devil horns" look that turns me off.
    They're REAL anyway.....

    Re: holy snikey's!

I'll be tactful: IMHO Gibson, especially EBO models, have a rather indistinct tone.

How would I come to that conclusion, I owned one.

Tone-wise, I think Jack Bruce's overdriven, foghorn sound with Cream personifies the best the EBO had to offer.

But, again, that's just my opinion.

It's weird how no guitar manufacture seems to make it in all groupd of guitars.
Like fender acoustics never took off. Gibson bases. Martin electrics
