    Price an '83 Tele

    Just wondering if any of you guys could give me an idea of what an '83 Am Stnd tele would go for. I've found one I like and have yet to ask the price and thought I would start here.

    It's in great shape. The only wear I notice is on the low end of the fret board (2nd fret below the B and E strings). It is a cream yellow (sorry don't know the offical color name) and everything appears to be original. The only thing missing is the case.

    I've heard these things are getting pricey, but just wanted to ask some of you experienced tele owners.

    Thanks.

    Thought I might add the saddles are graphite like ones found on newer Fenders. I'm guessing this was a change made by the original owner...I don't think they did that on early '80's teles?

    ???????......that's a strat thing
    ==========================

    the 70's stuff is heavy and often tone-dead.....
    the 80's is a pot-pourri of stuff.....

    all eras have their pros and cons, but i like em all....but mostly i have mid to later 90's/00's stuff. it has the delta-tone pups, which i like, and the build quality has really gotten better, IMO. even the MIMs are really nice since about mid 90's....some like alder bodies, some like poplar.....again, YMMV

    go play some and then tell us what you like....;)
