    I currently have a lil 59 but want to improve on this.

    I'd consider a Fralin High output, a Barden or a Harmonic Designs Vintage plus . Check Harmony Central for reviews

    If you want to stay with SC size I would recommend a Haeussel Big Mag.
    That´s a single coil with 6.5mm Magnets, sounds like a fat P90 but with the size of a Standard SC.
    I used to have the SD Lil´59 at the bridge but it sounded awfully thin for me (at least to my ears), got rid of it quick....
    Also a good Idea is to switch the Mid and the Neck PU in serial,
    gives you a fat tone, close to a PAF I would say...
