I was wondering if anyone has used a minidisc recorder to record your guitar tracks... if so do you have any samples...?
thanks

I've done some with a consumer-grade portable MD, with some ambient mics to do some band recording.
Results were so-so.
Several guitars in different colors
Things to make them fuzzy
Things to make them louder
orange picks
hmm maybe the new HiMDs are worth a look

Maybe. I guess by omission, I neglected to add that I didn't have any compression, etc. in the loop for better s/n ratio. If I spent more time on it, I probably could have gotten better results.Originally Posted by manilaboy1vic
What I did like quite a bit was the lack of wow and flutter. All of my previous experiments were with a 424, which, even new, had way too much w/f, and drove me nuts.

it seems like the MD would be nice to, to sneak into a concert to record a show.. hehe
I use a portable MD for recording guitar (acoustic) workshops. I just use a cheapo mic because I'm not overly concerned with fidelity.
