    Thermometer Case

What's up with these Thermometer cases? Just got my first one with my relic Nocaster, and yes it looks pretty cool when you open it up and see your guitar laying there, but it's kind of ugly on the outside (imho, some of you may love it, sorry). I know they ship new Nocasters with two cases, but my guitar is used and only came with the Thermometer. It also doesn't seem the best protection for long-term carrying about.

I may try to "improve" the outside look, a little dirt, some clear lacquer may do the trick. I know it's silly, all this over the "look" but any tips before I get started with this project from some who have been there would be appreciated. What's the best lacquer to use?

I would just get one of those Coffin Cases. Everything looks bad ass in one of those. They should make a tweed one, the would really rock.
