Yes, the VZ Vintage Plus is a great one. Also, check out the John Suhr V60's.
Definitely the Dimarzio Virtual Vintage Heavy Blues, for a few reasons:
1. Price - $59.95 through American Musical Supply
2. Noiseless - so now you can really wail like SRV without the noise
3. Always readily available with no wait.
4. Great for many blues styles but especially SRV style blues
I put the pickups in the bridge and neck position of my 60's sunburst strat and a Dimarzio Virtual Vintage in the middle and it was a great choice. I constantly got compliments on my tone, and it was all thanks to the pickups, my Bassman reissue and TS9. Check them out you'll be thankful you did.
Van Zandt V+, definitely.
