    Only one pedal: Which one?

If you where forced to only have one FX pedal (not counting multi-effect ones), what would it be? Distortion, reverb, flanger, phaser, etc.?

Digitech DigiVerb, or dynacomp, both would be better but gotta have the verbs first and formost.

Tubescreamer or one of the derivative pedals, but you really can't have just one. You have to have a compressor.

Distortion. Cover more ground for me. Silver Dragon these days. Though, it does depend on the amp. If I had a TSL or my Genz Benz I may just want an echo or chorus.

If I can get drive tones from the amp then I would have to say either a nice wah or phase pedal. If only clean for amp then I would have to settle on a good pedal for dirty rock tones.

A well overdriven amp and a compressor. It can add sustain on leads and smooth out finger-picking/funky stuff while clean.

    Boss tuner.

I figure if I've got an amp I can overdrive, so long as the guitar's in tune I'm good.

Now if you were to give me TWO pedals, things change significantly...

I'll say my Barber Direct Drive.
