Has anyone here tried one, or own one of these? I would like to get some opinions. I can't find one locally to try.

If you mean the new MIM model, it's just come out. Seems silly to me, it's just a Classic 50's Tele with one pickup and Esquire wiring.
A friend in need is a good reason to screen your calls.
Yeah, but for me it just seems like a natural progression. I have a 52 reissue & a 72 thinline reissue, and I've been jonesing for an Esquire since I talked to Joe Bonamassa & he said he actually prefered the tone over a tele.
Brian H let me play his for a couple of days look at the msg that says 2005 Esquire you will see my review with pics.
Very cool. Thanks. I think I've decided to order one. The price is certainly ok on them. I need another friggin guitar like a hole.......... Sigh!
yeah i really want 1 too, got a 57 white blonde RI and it would be a perfect match
@gizmo,i cant find the price do you know how much it cost ??
Oh man i really want one !!!!!!!!!!

'57 strat-Menatone Red Snapper-Everman G2 Fuzzdrive-Ever Octave X= A Killer Setup
I've built two of them using mostly original parts from 1950 Champion Lapsteels, both weigh 6lbs apiece, PU, pots, 3 way CRL switch and caps, nail the original tone.

Nazz a 12 yr old can do the wiring its very simple.
haha yeah... i'm still skeptical. Do you have a link to a wiring diagram for a Telecaster and then for an Esquire or something, to see the difference? I'm a bit clueless as to what it all entails...
In any case, i'm interested in an Esquire, wether I buy it like that or convert a Tele.
Hey plank, what bodies did you use for those (they look sweet btw)?
Got one from Elliott Mechanic and the other from Peter Florence, same with the necks.
Played ablack one saturday,It has a gnarly tele tone and it needed a setup but overall a nice guitar I'll place my order next week
I tried one today. Very surprized at its awesome twangabilty
The neck position on the switch was muddy, middle nice, and bridge was incredible twang. Yes I know its one PU, but I am jsut refering to the switch.
With gig bag its around $629.00 from my local dealer
