    My '63 Jazzmaster

    Totally stock.
I played this guitar for quite a while and always thought it great, but last week took 'er out for a night on the town...at 42 years old I figured she could stay out late...but not so.

I'm sorry to say that I'll be permanently retiring her from the stage. The guitar just makes too much noise with those soap bar pups.

Still love 'er tho. Such a beauty.

Hey FenderBoy and fellow Jazzmaster enthusiasts,

'Am brand new to this forum and don't know nothin' about how it works or who knows what, so 'scuse me!.

'There such a thing as aftermarket GOOD-sounding same-size drop-in noiseless (dummy 2nd coil?) pups for JM?

Mine is a '95 Fender Japan, so no worry about corrupting a priceless original, 'just want to play!

Peace, Bros and Sisters, make music, not hate.

I don't know anything about droppin' in any other pups in a Jazzmaster....wouldn't be a Jazzmaster if that was done.
I wouldn't do it even if that meant I could take out my old girlfriend and play her to my satisfaction.
There are too many great memories attached to my stock Jazzmaster to ever want to change anything.
