    New Year, New Band

O.k. After a tough break up of a long time working band I think I am ready to go again. I am looking forward to my new band. It will be Delbert, Blues Brothers, Otis, Wilson, Duke Robbilard and of course some of the three Kings.....B.B. Albert & Freddie. I am meeting the last key this afternoon. The bassist.......Talks a real good game but I have never heard him. He is the drummers buddy so I guess that could be a good thing. I am busy burning his practice CDs as we speak. I hope he is he right one. Wish me luck, I gotta put some stings on the Tele.

    Cool Bignote.....
the first gig I ever played was at the Kadena Teen Club, 1969.

It was kinda funny actually, after I mentioned Delbert McClinton he said and I quote "I am used to playing something with a little more groove". So,,,,,,,,I am still looking. I am set up to meet a couple of different guys this weekend. The saga continues.

    Bingo,

Met a dude last night who has been playing for about twenty years. It was so funny the way we met. We were at the bookstore looking at the music mags and he was thumbing through Bass player mumbling to himself about not playing in a band with groove. I asked him who his favorite players were and he replied Duck Dunn, Willie Weeks and Tommy Shannon. BINGO! Hopefully this cat is genuine. :blbros
