    Any more wishlist stuff??

I'll try and download and print off some lyrics on Friday if I get a chance. If not I'll bring along the crap I printed off for the last Toonstock anyhow just in case.

Paul - did Ron give you the AC/DC to listen to for the lyrics?? It's on the Powerage album.

    Lads,

Howsabout some more ideas for Saturday?

There's only a couple of days to go and I reckon the "wish list" songs above will fill about 45 mins. That only leaves 4+ hours for freeform jazz/blues improvisation. ;-)

My guys are going to string me up by the nadgers ;-)

Tom, are you taking setlist cheat sheets?

What do You want to do Ayns? We can do some blues again 'Sneakers' and such to fill, in and the oblig 'Cocaine' jam I suppose and I know Paul would like 'Sweet home Alabama' again!
    White Stripes 'Seven nation Army??'

Re: Toonstock II - UK Jam

    Ay up,

Sweet Home Alabama's a go-er, and I could probably bluff my way through Rockin in the Free World/ Hurricane .

    Ron,

I'm not really bothered about playing that much myself, but I'm worried that our Drummer, Keyboards and Bassist/ Vocalist might find themselves a bit left out, if they're not required for "backing" duties. Sounds like the rest of you lads have got that sorted for certain songs already.

Ahem, I've ( rightly or wrongly) sort of promised my lads that we'd be doing a "mini-set", but that's not really what it's all about. As I've said before, they're ex-club musos of 20+ years standing so they've played almost everything and anything in their repertoire during that time. Anyway, we'll see how it goes.

Sorry to be a PITA but I'm a natural worrier :-(

Re: Toonstock II - UK Jam

Ayns - you should definitely do the mini set. And don't worry about getting enough numbers each, I'm sure that there'll be enough to go around.

As for the rest of it, I'll bring along the stuff from last time and anything I can find that's requested. whether or not that will be enough remains to be seen. Bottom line is that this is going to be a jam, and as such is bound to be a bit rough and ready. I suspect that like the last couple of times we'll do the things we said (or at least some of them) and then just make it up as we go along - a couple of people will suggest doing something and throw it open for others to join in.

I'm back in the office in Newcastle again tomorrow (Friday), but I think things are going to be a bit busy. I'll do as much as I can though

Looking forward to getting together tomorrow.

Ayns - I just got back an e-mail I sent you this morning asking about the PA, so I'm going to take mine along just in case unless you give me a bell tomorrow morning and tell me I don't need to.

    "Later that sam day....after a five hour jam-a-thon" *
Wahooo! Lots of Tunes Lots of Beer, and nobody died or got elected.
M'Fraid there were three guitarists on the stage at several points, but hey! were a polite bunch...we took turns. Havn't got time to go into it further as were out in Newcastle for a drink. Suffice to say it went well and I for one was like a 'pig in shit' (Pardon my anglo saxon) What a great bunch of guys!

    * We could have played longer !

Re: Toonstock II - UK Jam

Great jam guys - a real pleasure as always to meet up with you all and to jam with a great bunch of musicians.

Ron - don't forget to give me a bell about picking up your CD player

Joel and John - I realised on the way back from dropping Joel at his car that I had forgotten the promised bacon sarnies... sorry lads.

Dayo (if you read this) we know you were there in spirit. Hope your gig went well last night.

Tele-Bob - we'll look forward to seeing you at one of our gigs sometime. It would be good to get an idea of how/what we do differently (apart from a general lack of C&W tunes in most of our jams - yesterdays was an exception though).

Alas Bob, all the hot chicks buggered off when they saw us:-) there will be photos available later on from Ronworld and Eddie Blackadder a.k.a Tom and Ron.

We took three of the out of towners into Newcastle on the night to sample our Famous Trillians Rock Bar, that's where all the Hot Chicks were...i think Rockhard, JoelM and Dr Fene are still recovering:-)

Re: Toonstock II - UK Jam

With any luck, the Sharon Stone impersonator will be in attendance at the Upstate NY Jam in two weeks. Last time, she divulged all her secrets to Offshore Angler as he attempted to play on with sweat dripping down his brow. When she got up on stage and did her drunken Sea Hag version of Me And Bobbie Magee, we all decided that, sometimes they're just too drunk to even take advantage of. Not sport in that actually. Right. Off ya go lass!

I will have camera at the ready this time however and hope to capture the secrets as they are revealed. Jolly good time.

    Ok I admit it...................I'm drunk.

But, can I just say I really enjoyed the Jam, and so did the rest of my lads.

Apologies if we hogged the stage a bit, I'm not sure the lads really understood the concept.

Sorry I missed you last night, long story, but I ended up drinking whiskey 'til 4.00 a.m. at my mate Mac's house.
