Tech 21 Classic Sansamp - anyone use one? What do you think?

These look like pretty interesting little boxes. I've never owned one or even played one. I was wondering if anyone here had ever tried one or owns one and what you think of it. They seem pretty versatile. Do they really work? Are they difficult to dial in and get the tone you want? Are they worth it?

That's a cool box, IMO. When I was looking for something to do amp-less recordings in my studio without waking the baby and the world, I came down to either this or the POD-XT, and only went with the POD in the end because it had decent effects too.

Joe Pampel at OEI swears by them, at least he used to.

Me, I'm very enamored of my Direct Drive. I may retire my FDII, which has been my standby for years now.

The Trademark 10 amp is basically the guts of the SansAmp in a little 10 watt amp with reverb AND it has a balanced out. Sharp little package.

I've got the SansAmp plugin in ProTools. Took an acoustic guitar track and added the SansAmp plug and it was instant JCM 800. Great plugin, I can only assume that the box is better...
