I have nothing against the FDP users. But there are quite a few that have a problem with TFF and it's users. That may be a problem.

    Re: NorCal Winter Jam

Like I said, I don't mind if FDP people come, the more the better. As long as they know who will be there and they don't care. If they care, then they don't have to come.

I just don't want it to be a shock to them and then they do something stupid. Whether we care or not, the facts are some are patriotically loyal to that forum, and don't always think with a clear head. Others are just fine.

Thats all I'm saying, and will drop it.

    Re: NorCal Winter Jam

It's soundin' good guys. As with the last jam at Jan's, everyone is welcome. We even had 3 guys from The Parrot Head Band (they open for Buffett sometimes) and most of a local hard rock band. Also the rule at Jan's is we keep playing until everybody has a turn. So no time limit. I'll update the details as we get closer.

    Re: NorCal Winter Jam

So far, no conflicts have arisen, so I hope to be there.

Speaking of "Wha's wit dat?" here's what I've been working on lately:

    "What good is a woman
If she don't kick you in the head every now and then"

And that's as far as I've got. Not sure where it's headed.

I sang this one the other night:

"This bed is too cold, darling
It's too cold without you dear
    But what's really killing me
This bed is even colder when you're here."

Man, people are going to wonder about my marriage. It's fine, thanks.

    Re: NorCal Winter Jam

Cool guys (and Annie). We're looking forward to seeing you again. John Carlson (keyboardist from The Huckleberrys) will be there with his keyboard, so Annie doesn't have to haul her's. The other available gear will be my new Fender Stage 160 DSP, JR's Beringer modeling amp, M-n-M's Traynor or Ampeg (the loudest 15W amp I've ever heard), 2 stacked Fender 100 bass amps, Denifish's drum kit, my PA (1400W, 16 channel Peavy board & Peavy Scorpion mains), 18" JBL sub, 6 mics, 2 floor monitors and a spot monitor for the drummer. No need to worry about volume levels. The normal bands at Jan's are are running 3000W PAs with powered subs.

Jan's will be providing food again however we will not have equipment check-in like last time (very few people used it), and we will be hitting up the local music stores for sponsorship over the next couple of weeks.

By the way, the young man (Jeremy) who got the last TFF t-shirt at the last Jan's TFF Jam (one of our roadies) died in a car crash last month in Oregon. A loss of one of the nicest young men I've met in years. He had just moved back there to be with his baby.

Anyway, rock on and we'll see you at the jam.

Wish we could come up for the event; I haven't even picked up a harp in months, and we miss our NorCal jammin' buds big time.

This should be a big one. It is now titled Jan's Lounge & The Fender Forum Present The Toys For Tots Jam. Yup, collecting toys for the kids with the USMC, radio spots, music store swag and lots of jammers. As usual, food in the afternoon, door prizes and all the time we need. This takes place on the same day as The Toys For Tots MC Run. Last year 7,000 toys were delivered to the state capitol on bikes by 1:00 PM.

    More details to follow.
