    Stratacoustis- anybody have one?

If so, what do you think? Does it really fill the hybrid bill? What kind of pickups are in there? Are there any mods that are done to these?

I have one dude. It's a few years old so I don't know about pups on the newer ones.Mine has the bridge piezo. For the price it isn't so bad,my biggest issue was string gauge.Unless you want to belt out chords,go as light as you can IMO.Not being capable of adjustments to the action heavier strings were kicking my ass.Put on some .09's and it's good for what it is.No complaints.

I'd like to get one. I plugged one it and it had a really decent acoustic sound. Of couse you can't really expect much unplugged. It's just too thin.

I've got one. Out of the door, it was setup very poorly. I took it apart and did some things and got it to play fairly well. Unplugged, it's not great, plugged in, however, it opens up really nicely. It has a few build quirks you might want to investigate though. Check the link below:

They kinda suck. I played a few and although the idea is cool, the guitar itself pretty much sucks.

I played one, and I thought the same thing, horrible feeling and thin, plasticy tone. The feel could have been fixed, as it had a bad setup, but the tone makes an Ovation sound good. :rofl

'Tried one out several times, 'was never able to truly like the creature enough to go for it. 'Seemed a more exciting idea in the catalogue than reality for this player.

I have the older MIJ version with a piezo in the bridge and a Lace sensor in the neck. Single bound, solid, semi hollow spruce top, mahogany back maple neck with rosewood f`board . Slightly wider than a regular tele so it doesn`t fit intto a hard case. Love the guitar and play it on the sofa sometimes, unplugged.
